Is it Time for a Mindset Change?

We are challenged every day with problems, challenges, and ways we could change.  Let’s take a concrete example: we want more business! We have been frustrated with this question for a while and no positive results…yet.  While many people get into massive action to create more business it may be more to your benefit to tuning inwards first. Why?

Well because while action seems like the right thing to do, it may lead you to a result you really didn’t want and even more problems may emerge. Time for a mindset change in business. AS we prepare for a new experience, we have already started changing our mindset.

Here are some ways you can try to change your mindset and stay open and receptive to new ideas.

Spending a few minutes every day meditating. Quiet your mind and let go of all thoughts. Just be still.  With this stillness, you really are inviting new thoughts and ideas in.  Notice how nice it feels to just be still for a few minutes. This is your time…a way of taking care of you.

Practice feeling and looking how you want to look when you accomplish your goal. Glance in the mirror.  When you reach your goal, you will be happy right?  Start being happy now. Change that frown or passive look to a smile.  Notice your energy, your walk, “how you are”. For any new outcome, you must be a match to it first. In other words, you must believe, this goal or something better is on its way to you right now.  When your energy shifts it is an indication that good things are in store.

Change your self-talk affirming yourself as often as possible. Whatever you want to hear from someone else, give it to yourself. Your confidence increases as you say positive things…you can do this…it is happening now….so happy to be seeing all of these doors open for us…. I’m so grateful to have such great partners and opportunities….etc etc.   As a result,  you will see yourself acting in new ways. New habits will now become your life. You are inviting in opportunities you never thought of before.

Finally, stay receptive to other changes you can make. Move out of your comfort zone and jump on the new work that emerges by changing your mind. Have fun doing it and watching how your ideas about what you thought you wanted may now have changed. Your vision expands as you follow these practices.  You are on your way!
